We're going live people! ⚡️

💸 is on it's way...

With the first live version of the web app going public today,

A week of copious testing,

And with an overflow of frustrations, surprises, and also opportunities…

We have made it through Week 12 of The Unicorn Founder.

We have managed to get the first two proper clients, the work I needed to do after that was hectic, and the rest of the insane stuff that happened this week is, let’s just say… interesting.

This Week’s Update Overview:

  • 💰 Money Monday: I had two pretty big meetings, which ended very positively, even though the second one didn’t look that way in the beginning…

  • 🧠 My Brain nearly exploded: The most difficult meeting led to the most difficult work I’ve ever had to do with the AI caller.

  • 💻 Our Tech: What’s going on with the web app, and the additional automations we’re building for estate agents…

  • 🍀 The Opportunities: The rest of the insane stuff that happened this week

💰 Money Monday:

So if you recall, the week prior I used the AI caller to call real estate agents to find out if they’re using any AI callers at all.

And they were impressed.

But hidden within that bunch of numbers I called, were a few directors from a few estate agencies.

And what I realised was that I’m calling the wrong people.

Standard estate agents don’t have the power/authority to start using the AI caller — but their directors do…

Which is exactly what ended up happening: I started calling only the directors of the estate agencies

(although a lot are on holiday around the world right now, so those calls didn’t go through 😥)

BUT, a few were interested and still hustling it during the CPT Winter — of whom I met with two estate agencies, and their respective directors, on this last Monday.

The second meeting was arguably more difficult because the director I met with had never actually heard the AI — but once he did, suddenly his ears perked up.

Lead with the actual AI — my plan going forward.

So those two agencies, of which both combined have 88 prospective estate agents that can start using the tech.

So, the remainder of the week was confirming the whole script, voice, data collection, blah blah blah — that was tedious.

This coming Monday, the idea is that we start making calls — the first 100 are free — and thereafter (if the results are up to standard), we start the pay-as-you-go payment model.

🧠 My Brain nearly exploded:

It was the post-Monday meeting’s work that I needed to do that destroyed my brain.

Now it was proper serious.

No more playing around Ethan.

And let me tell you, the number of different variables I needed to account for, prepare the AI to handle, and then also test, and then still refine was insane. INSANE.

But it was done. Eventually.

🔵 How it all works: The client will specify the objectives they want to achieve from the call and I then need to figure out how to hit all of those.

🔴 The problem: The more objectives you need to hit, the more complex the back-end system becomes for the AI, and the more you need to be careful of hallucinations (moments when the AI just freaks out because it’s so confused).

Sometimes hallucinations are way too funny — but other times, it’s sooo bad.

So they’re not good for business at all.

🟢 The work I needed to do: Test out a multitude of different methods of prompting the AI, and then once the closest one is found, go within that prompt style and make tiny little adjustments to slowly mould the AI into what you want it to be.

Confused? Don’t worry.

🥸 Put more simply: I had create all these different instruction manuals, all constructed in different ways. Once the correct one is found, I would then have to change the order of every page, down to the words on each page, till it’s just right.

Hope that analogy helps. If not, it’s not that important lol.

In the end it all ended up working after days of trying to figure it out (Tuesday - Friday).

So now I’m happy 😃

Onwards to the next problem…

💻 Our Tech:

Today we literally just published the first live link for private user access.

So grateful.

Here’s a snippet of Aditya’s time log of yesterday’s coding sesh:

18 hours people. That’s 75% of a whole day.

The weekends are where we can really shine, no distractions.

What I’ve been working on over the past few days excluding the AI caller has been the post-call automations.

These automations consist of:

  • An automated follow-up message to each client, completely personalised based on their call.

  • An automated conversation with the client — including, but not limited to, sending personalised property recommendations, investment data, property evaluations, and a few other exciting things.

Yeah, it’s getting scary

I’ve been building out my own “framework” that basically command OpenAI’s ChatGPT model to function within these specific parameters.

In simple terms: I’m building a metaphorical room for the AI from ChatGPT, and in that room there is an instruction manual it needs to read. This room connects the main room, the AI caller, to all the additional rooms in the house.

And so, my timeline is to ideally get the foundation of that all up and running by Tuesday this week.

The live web page will be uploaded on my socials this week coming — it’s unfortunately not quite ready by time of finishing the writing of this email (Sunday afternoon ±3pm).

Stay tuned for that 😉

🍀 The Opportunities:

Monday is where it all seems to be kicking off from!

This Monday coming I’ll be meeting with another director of sorts — from another industry, very, very different to the real estate industry, but very, very much needing some AI to help with the heavy-lifting — starting with calls.

I’m quite excited about that and what it would look like bringing the AI into a completely different industry.

Contextually they are different, but principally they are the same.

Which is the coolest part.

In addition to that all, as alluded to earlier, I am trusting the first revenue will pull through this week — a really great piece of validation with the clients putting their money where their mouth is.

That can only happen if we can get started early in the week — ideally Monday — with calling the first 100 leads.

After that, I am just super excited to keep pushing and to get more of each agency’s agents on board, increasing our earning potential — and increasing the trust in the relationship that this tech really does work.

And then finally, to push out some insane content on all social media platforms — including some more long-form YouTube… KEEENNNN!!!
